🚧 Marksheffel Traffic Alert
Marksheffel will close in two sections starting tonight and again Friday night into Saturday. Crews are finishing drainage upgrades and setting up a new traffic pattern.
Here’s what to know:
Thurs 7pm – Fri 5:30am
Marksheffel closes from north of Tarren Heights to south of Dublin.
When it reopens, Ryker Peak opens to traffic.
Fri 7pm – Sat 5pm
Marksheffel closes from north of Stetson Hills to south of Ryker Peak (22 hours).
Detour: Use Peterson Rd, Dublin Blvd, and Stetson Hills Blvd. Tarren Heights and Ryker Peak are for neighborhood access only.
A new traffic pattern will be in place when it reopens.
🌡️ 60° Days Shatter Records

Colorado Springs has shattered its record for the most 60-degree days in a meteorological winter, recording 28 so far with the potential to reach 30 before Feb ends. That’s nearly one-third of the season feeling more like spring than winter, surpassing the previous record of 22 days set in 1981, a historically low snowpack year.
The city has also seen only 69 freezing nights, another record low. A persistent high-pressure ridge over the western United States has kept the jet stream and storm track north of Colorado, limiting snowfall and allowing warm, dry conditions to dominate. The unusual warmth has even prompted early budding on some trees, making this winter one that stands out in the record books. Full Story

😲 Wait… WHAT?!

I had to double‑check the URL to make sure this wasn’t satire, but apparently someone has created a Bluetooth urn. An urn… that plays music. FOR YOUR ASHES.
Honoring someone’s memory in personal ways? Meaningful and beautiful. I respect that completely.
But a full “afterlife audio experience”? That’s when I just stared at the screen with that confused face thinking, “Who thinks of this stuff??!!”
And imagine the room is quiet… and the urn suddenly kicks on with:
“Stayin’ Alive”
“Another One Bites the Dust”
“Don’t Fear the Reaper”
“The Final Countdown”
At that point, I think everyone would need a moment to recalibrate their understanding of… well, everything. 😕
So now I’m curious:
What would your eternal playlist even be?
Choose wisely... no one wants “It’s a Small World” echoing through eternity. 😏
