Claude is not just a chatbot anymore. Is your security team ready?
Claude.ai is one thing. Agentic workflows, MCP connections, ungoverned skills taking actions across your data? That's a different conversation — and most security teams aren't equipped for it.
Harmonic Security gives your CISO the visibility and controls to say yes confidently.

🏞️ COS Gains 100 Acres

A once-industrial site in northwest Colorado Springs is beginning a new chapter.
City Council has approved the donation of about 100 acres of the former Pikeview Quarry, with plans to turn the space into future parkland and open space. While the final use hasn’t been decided yet, the community will have a voice in shaping what comes next.
After more than a century of mining, the land has already undergone major restoration, including planting thousands of trees, setting the stage for something that could benefit residents for generations.
😳 Health Inspectors Shut This One Down
Each week, El Paso County Public Health inspects local restaurants and posts the results publicly. We pull directly from their database so you know where things stand. Here's what caught our eye this week.
Here's a breakdown of the most recent results:

🥾 A Favorite Spot Reopens

South Catamount Reservoir
After a two-year wait, the North Slope Recreation Area is finally reopening. Starting today, May 1 with full access to North and South Catamount Reservoirs!
After the closure for dam repairs, you can once again enjoy:
Shoreline fishing
Non-motorized boating
Hiking and biking trails
Picnic spots with incredible views
Heads up: Crystal Creek Reservoir will temporarily close for in-water recreation starting May 1 for about 14 days while crews complete maintenance. You can still access the parking lot, visitor center, and nearby trails.
While you wait for Crystal Creek to reopen, there's a new trail to explore. It connects Crystal Overlook to the southeast end of the Crystal Reservoir dam.
That makes it easier to walk between the overlook, the dam, and the visitor center. More upgrades are coming this month.
Workers will stabilize the shoreline near the visitor center and improve access between the center and the fishing dock. Down the road, they plan to add a new boat launch once water levels allow.
Getting into the North Slope Recreation Area costs $5 per person. Children under 16 get in free.
If you drive, you'll need an extra $1 parking permit. You can reserve tickets online ahead of time, or grab what's left at the Pikes Peak Highway Gateway on a first-come, first-served basis.
Anyone 16 or older who wants to fish needs a Colorado fishing license from Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Colorado Springs Utilities and the Pikes Peak team are working to balance recreation with protecting water infrastructure.
They encourage you to plan ahead, check current conditions, follow posted signs, and call 719-385-7325 for the latest updates.
📍 North Slope Recreation Area Details
