Why do giraffes have such long necks?
๐Because their feet smell! ๐คฃ

๐ซ Old Colorado City Woke Up to This

Courtesy: Carolynn Felling
Owners and employees in Old Colorado City arrived Saturday morning to find their storefronts covered in graffitiโฆvulgar, damaging, and spreading shock through one of the city's most beloved historic neighborhoods. CSPD is investigating. Business owners say the cameras caught movement, and the community is rallying to clean it up and keep the area safe. This is disturbing and makes us wonderโฆWHY?! Full Story

๐ณ Why People Are Sharing Their Credit Karma Scores
Mikey Caloca says that line on a video to anyone thinking about joining his community, and on the surface it sounds like the kind of thing every online creator says. But Mikey's Money House is genuinely a different setup than most.
It's not a course. It's not Mikey-on-a-stage. It's a few hundred regular people - most of them rebuilding credit, climbing out of debt, or trying to figure out a side hustle - actually talking to each other. Members share their progress, members help each other, and Mikey jumps in too. He gives out gift cards every week to people who post wins ("like it is candy," in his words), spins a wheel live, and uses the whole thing as a way to keep people accountable.
His pitch to new members is about as un-guru as it gets:
"I just want you to get better with your money."
If you've tried the YouTube-rabbit-hole version of fixing your finances and it didn't stick, this is the opposite of that. Three live classes a week. A curriculum you can start tonight. A room full of people doing the same work.

๐ฆ TRIVIA: It All Started With A Free Bear

If you've ever hand-fed a giraffe at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, you know that moment. The ridiculous tongue. That impossibly long neck dipping down toward you. The view of the entire city spread out below. There is truly no zoo experience quite like it and this year, we get to celebrate 100 years of exactly that.
CMZoo is the only zoo in the United States built on a mountain, sitting at 6,714 feet above sea level, the highest zoo in the country. And here's the wild part: it was never meant to be a public zoo at all. In 1916, local philanthropist Spencer Penrose received a bear as a gift. That bear started a private collection of exotic animals. By 1926, that collection had a name and a home on Cheyenne Mountain and the rest is history Colorado Springs has been lucky enough to call its own ever since.

Since 1954, how many giraffe calves have been born right here on the mountain?
Fast forward 100 years: CMZoo is ranked #2 Best Zoo in the entire country by USA Today readers, two years running. And here's something that might surprise you: every single visit you make contributes 75ยข directly to global wildlife conservation, totaling over $500,000 a year. That means every giraffe cracker you've bought is literally saving animals in the wild.
Answer: 203! That's a lot of spots and a whole lot of love. *Source
