⚔️ Built Here for Air Force Cadets

We were so happy to see this story as it is not only Made In America but right here in our backyard FOR not far from where they are delivered at the USAFA!
A meaningful Air Force Academy tradition is now being handcrafted right here in Colorado Springs.
Hundreds of graduating cadets will receive ceremonial sabers this week, and for the first time in decades, those blades are no longer being made overseas. Instead, they’re being carefully crafted at Kilroy’s Workshop in Colorado Springs, a hometown connection that carries extra meaning for both the makers and the cadets receiving them.
The workshop originally began by repairing and maintaining Academy sabers before eventually earning the exclusive contract to manufacture them year-round. For the team behind the work, these sabers represent far more than a graduation keepsake. They symbolize service, sacrifice, leadership, and the beginning of a lifelong journey for each cadet who carries one. Full Story
🏙️ Cleaner Streets, Safer Downtown?

Courtesy: The Gazette
Downtown Colorado Springs says its new Clean & Safe pilot program is already making a noticeable impact after several months in operation. The initiative, launched in 2025 through a public-private partnership, focuses on improving cleanliness, safety, and outreach services throughout the downtown core.
According to early numbers released by the Downtown Partnership, the program has handled thousands of security and ambassador interactions while also helping connect unhoused individuals with services and housing support. Crews have also worked to remove graffiti, clean spills, and keep public spaces more welcoming for visitors, businesses, and residents.
The effort combines ambassadors, private security, outreach workers, and dedicated cleaning crews in an attempt to address downtown concerns with a more coordinated and human-centered approach.

🍕 Cast Iron Skillet Pizza

Baking pizza in a cast iron skillet ensures the crust is ultra crispy and browned but still nice and pillowy when you bite into it.
