πΊ Finding Your Veteran Just Got Easier

Pikes Peak National Cemetery just upgraded its Gravesite Locator kiosk, making it easier for families to find and honor their loved ones. The updated kiosk, located in the Public Information Center, now lets visitors search by name, print a map with the exact gravesite location, or scan a QR code for turn-by-turn directions straight to their phone. You can also check the daily interment schedule and review the floral policy right on the spot.
Can't make it in person? The same tool is available online anytime. A small but meaningful upgrade for families during moments that matter most.
π΅ Ford Amphitheater's Land Sold

The company behind Ford Amphitheater, VENU Holding Corporation, just sold the land underneath the venue for $49.7 million, then immediately leased it back. Think of it like taking out equity on a house while still living in it. VENU gets a big chunk of cash, and nothing changes for concert-goers.
The money is part of a larger $200 million financing plan to fund expansion. VENU is opening new entertainment venues in Oklahoma and Texas, with projects in Houston and El Paso also underway. Here in Colorado Springs, the company owns Ford Amphitheater, Phil Long Music Hall, Bourbon Brothers, and several other venues. Full story

π° TRIVIA: The Little Castle On Costilla Has A Secret
Did you know Kingβs Chef Diner has been part of Colorado Springs since 1956, when it opened as a tiny Valentine Diner on Costilla Street? Built in the early 1950s, Valentine diners were prefabricated steel restaurants, and Kingβs Chef is one of the few still standing today. The original castle location at 110 E. Costilla St still remains part of the story, but it is now used for private events only, even as the business grew to include the downtown location at 131 E. Bijou St.

How many seats did the original Kingβs Chef Diner have?
What makes Kingβs Chef feel like more than a restaurant is the way it has stayed tied to the city through changing hands and changing times. Sam Johnson helped build its reputation, and after he sold it in 1996, Gary Geiser took over in 1997 and carried it forward without stripping away the character that made it memorable in the first place. That kind of continuity is rare. It is why the diner still feels familiar to generations of locals who have passed through its doors for breakfast, burgers, French toast, and its famous green chili.

The building itself still carries the kind of charm people notice when they drive by and slow down for a second. It is a little castle, a little time capsule, and a lot of Colorado Springs history packed into a place that still serves everyday meals the way diners always have.
Answer: 13 seats *Source
