🎶 Free Concert Tonight, Bring A Lawn Chair

Last week's kickoff at Acacia Park was packed. People were dancing, 3 birthday serenades happened on the spot, and Sara Vaas of Dizzy Charlie’s Music & Events who is the organizer, said it felt like the whole city exhaled. That's exactly what a free Thursday night concert in the park is supposed to feel like.
Tonight it's The 719 Band, a local funk and fusion group, taking the stage at Acacia Park from 6 to 8pm. Free. No tickets needed. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Josh and John's Scoop Bus will be there, and Colorado Front Doors is bringing free popcorn.
This is every Thursday through September, right in the heart of downtown. If it rains, they move inside to Avenue 19. Full summer schedule
✈️ COS Airport Just Got $7.5 Million

Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has secured another $7.5 million in federal funding, bringing the total to $27.5 million for its ElevateCOS terminal modernization project. And not a single dollar of it comes from local taxes.
The upgrades will mean bigger gate areas, better restrooms, energy-efficient systems, improved accessibility, and more family-friendly spaces throughout the terminal. For a smaller regional airport that's growing fast, this is a big deal. COS remains one of the most convenient, no-hassle ways to fly out of the Pikes Peak region. I personally am grateful we have it…so much better than driving up to Denver. 😉
