15% Off Your First Order of Fresh-Roasted Pods

Most K-Cups sit in a warehouse for months before they reach your brewer โ€” and you can taste it. Angelino's, a third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, does it differently: every pod is roasted, ground, and sealed fresh in-house, then shipped to your door within days of roasting.

Choose from 50+ specialty coffees โ€” single origins, dark roasts, flavored favorites like Jamaican Me Crazy, plus decafs and teas โ€” all compatible with your Keurigยฎ brewer. Mix and match any coffees you like, and watch the savings climb: bulk discounts start at 5+ boxes and reach up to 34% off at 12+.

And here's the best part: new customers get an extra 15% off their first order, on top of bulk savings. It's applied automatically at checkout โ€” no code, no subscription required. Free shipping on orders over $49 or 4+ boxes.

Fresh coffee shouldn't require a coffee shop.

๐Ÿงผ The Soap That Saved This Local Man's Life

โœจ How making soap became making amends ๐ŸŒฑ

When Blake Beyers found himself at rock bottom in 2019, struggling with alcoholism as COVID-19 began sweeping across the country, he never imagined a Christmas Day experiment would transform his life. Using fireplace ash and a curious spirit, Blake and his children Andrew and Kendall created their first batch of soap...a moment that would spark an extraordinary journey of recovery and purpose.

Clean RD Soap Company isn't just about luxurious, tallow-based soap. It's the story of a father rebuilding his life, drawing on his background in nutrition and food science to create something meaningful during financial hardship.

What began as Kendall's STEM program project quickly gained fans when users discovered the exceptional quality. Blake's meticulous three-month curing process creates bars that lather richly, rinse completely clean, and last significantly longer than commercial alternatives. The nutrient-dense tallow from Ranch Foods Direct provides skin-nourishing benefits that mass-produced soaps simply can't match.

The company name, Clean RD, carries dual meaning. The RD stands for Registered Dietitian, reflecting Blake's professional background, while "Clean" represents both the product's purpose and Blake's personal journey to sobriety. He employs others on recovery journeys and creates "memory bars" honoring those lost to addiction.

Find Clean RD soaps at these local Colorado Springs retailers and various farmerโ€™s markets:

  • Ranch Foods Direct: 1228 E Fillmore & 4635 Town Center Dr (both locations)

  • Hatch and Gather: 701 W Colorado Ave

  • Bread and Butter Neighborhood Market: 602 S Nevada

  • Poor Richard's: 324 1/2 N Tejon (Downtown)

  • Roadrunner Bookstore: Mobileยจ

For the full selection, visit CleanRDsoaps.com to order directly and explore their soap making workshops.

Your skin deserves more than just cleansingโ€ฆit deserves nourishment with purpose. When you lather up with Clean RD soap, you're not just washing away dirt; you're supporting a neighbor's journey from darkness into light. Feel the difference on your skin while knowing your purchase helps write someone's comeback story. Isn't that worth far more than ordinary soap?

EXCLUSIVE OFFER FOR COS TOWN TIDINGS SUBSCRIBERS:

๐Ÿ‘€ Where Did Our Tax Dollars Go?

Most of us pay taxes but rarely get a simple explanation of where the money goes. That's the idea behind Colorado Springs' new 2025 Popular Annual Financial Report, a reader-friendly overview of the City's finances and accomplishments.

According to the report, the city added more police officers, improved 911 response times, repaired more than 74,000 potholes, repaved 187 lane miles, expanded infrastructure projects like Marksheffel Road, advanced the new Senior Center and Monument Valley Park improvements, and continued attracting major employers such as Swire Coca-Cola. The report also explains how sales tax dollars help fund everyday services like public safety, roads, parks, and city operations, giving residents a clearer picture of how local government invests in the community.

๐Ÿš‚ COS to Denver by Rail Is Getting Real

The proposed Front Range passenger rail project has a new name, Colorado Connector, or CoCo, and with it a clearer picture of what might be coming and when.

Phase 1 would connect Denver to Fort Collins, with service expected to launch in 2029 and operated by Amtrak. Full service across all 12 communities from Pueblo to Fort Collins, including Colorado Springs, is planned for 2032, though that depends on voters approving a sales tax increase. A trip from Colorado Springs to Denver would take roughly two and a half hours.

The estimated cost sits between $3 billion and $3.5 billion, funded through a mix of federal grants, state money, local revenue, and that potential voter-approved tax. Project leaders have not committed to an exact final figure yet.

For a city as car-dependent as Colorado Springs, a direct rail link to Denver and eventually to Pueblo and Fort Collins would be a real shift in how the Front Range moves. Worth watching. Full Story

๐ŸŽก The Fair Through Sat + Drones

The El Paso County Fair is happening right now, and you have through this Sat, July 18, to catch it. Livestock shows, carnival rides, fair food, and live entertainment are all in full swing at the fairgrounds.

This year has one big addition worth knowing about: a drone show (in lieu of fireworks) at 9:15pm on Friday, July 17, right after the auto races. 500 drones will light up the Colorado sky in a show that's part of the statewide celebration of America's 250th anniversary and Colorado's 150th. There are also exhibits inside Swink Hall dedicated to both milestones if you want a little history with your funnel cake. Full Story
