🥘 Nurturing Confidence: Abigail's Mission to Empower Home Cooks

Chef Abigail Lucas has a unique and inspiring journey to the kitchen, one filled with resilience, passion, and a deep love for food. As a military child, she learned the art of self-sufficiency at a young age, and enjoyed the creative license she found in food. These early attempts ignited a lifelong passion for creating delicious, comforting food.

A fifth-generation Army Soldier, Abigail followed her family's footsteps. After becoming the first in her family to attend West Point, Abigail served as an Ordnance Officer in the Army. However, multiple injuries forced her to transition into civilian life, a change she initially struggled to accept. She went on to earn her MBA and had a successful corporate career, but the call of the kitchen never faded.

Inspired by loving memories of standing on a step stool beside her grandmother, cooking family recipes together, Abigail decided to turn her passion into a profession. As a chef instructor, she is dedicated to making others feel confident and content in their own kitchens. "I should have gone into cooking after the army," Abigail reflects. "I want everyone to be happier in their own kitchen."

Abigail's approach to cooking is refreshingly down-to-earth, focusing on essential techniques like her popular Knife Proficiency class, which has been featured on Fox 21 News. Her classes at The Hive Market Kitchen cater to all skill levels, from young adults in their first apartments to retirees looking to minimize food waste while maximizing flavor.

CoS Eats LLC, founded by Abigail, is more than just cooking classes. It's a community-centric venture that believes in the power of food to bring people together. With a wide variety of classes that promise to send you home with new skills, recipes, and a LOT of food, CoS Eats is a must for anyone looking to rediscover their love for cooking. Join Chef Abigail on this culinary adventure and stir up some happiness in your kitchen.
