🚧 Tutt Blvd Reopening Delayed

The reopening of Tutt Blvd, initially set for this week, has been delayed to August 21 due to weather-related setbacks and unforeseen utility conflicts. The roadwork, which is expanding the boulevard to two lanes in each direction and enhancing pedestrian and drainage infrastructure, is still expected to finish in September. In the meantime, traffic is being diverted through Black Forest Rd and Wolf Ridge Dr, with local access provided via Spring Breeze Dr.

Recently opening a new headquarters at the Citadel Mall, Men of Influence aims to maintain the mall as a safe and welcoming space for families. The group plans to expand community events and collaborations with mall vendors to reinforce safety and community ties. Full Story

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) rescued a great horned owl in Colorado Springs this month. The owl, suspected of having a wing injury, was discovered by CPW and taken to the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Raptor Center in Pueblo for rehabilitation. CPW urges the public to report distressed wild birds to regional offices, as many young birds face challenges while learning to fly during this season. The intervention ensures the birds can heal and return to the wild.
