🌟 America’s Most Neighborly City? It’s Us!

Colorado Springs

Did you know that Colorado Springs has been crowned America’s Most Neighborly City for 2024, standing out for its impressive volunteer efforts and high voter turnout. This ranking isn’t just about being friendly—it reflects the deep-rooted civic engagement and sense of community that defines the city.

Whether through local charity work or simply fostering a safe and welcoming environment, Colorado Springs embodies what it means to be neighborly. If you haven’t noticed this sense of connection, now might be the time to look closer and join in strengthening the bond. Go introduce yourself to a neighbor you haven’t met yet. 😊

🚧 Powers Blvd Traffic Shift: Expect Delays

Powers Blvd Traffic Shift

If you’re driving along Powers near Airport Road from today until Oct 3, be aware of nighttime lane closures from 7pm to 4am each night, according to the City of Colorado Springs.

CDOT will be setting temporary barriers, restriping lanes, and shifting traffic into a new alignment. These closures are expected to cause delays, so plan accordingly by allowing extra travel time or considering alternate routes during these hours.

📖 Explore Open Jobs at PPLD

Pikes Peak Library District

Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is currently recruiting for open positions throughout El Paso County. This past Sat, a job fair was held to introduce candidates to the district and provide screening interviews. The library system is actively looking for both entry-level librarians and senior professionals to join its team and strengthen its services.

Although staffing shortages have been managed by moving staff between locations, the district aims to hire more personnel to enhance the public’s experience. PPLD’s focus is on customer service and ensuring that its libraries remain welcoming spaces for the community. Interested applicants who missed the job fair can still explore available roles and apply.

💙 Cardio with Balance Low-Impact Workout

The workout is versatile, allowing participants to perform the exercises seated or standing, making it suitable for all fitness levels.
