🚧 Detours Near I-25 Starting

The I-25 South Connector Road and sections of S Tejon will be closed overnight beginning tonight at 9pm through Tues at 5am, as crews complete pavement markings, signage, and traffic signal upgrades.

The work will affect both directions on Tejon, with each direction closing at different times. Detours will be clearly marked, but drivers should plan for extra travel time or use alternate routes. If work gets delayed, a second night of closures may happen Tues night into Wed.

Look what’s happening in a Colorado Springs garage—Trevor Goldberg, founder of Berg Bat Company, has hit it out of the park with his version of the “torpedo bat.” This new take on the classic wooden bat, with a reimagined sweet spot, has drawn attention from Major League players after the Yankees crushed nine home runs using similar models.

Now, Goldberg’s bats are in high demand from all over the country, and there’s growing hope that one of his handmade creations will soon make its official MLB debut. Not bad for a guy who started learning bat-making in high school by watching YouTube. Full Story

🎶 Will Neighbors Finally Get Some Peace?

The Ford Amphitheater is getting ready to welcome fans back for its first full season starting April 30, with 23 shows scheduled through Sept. After a rocky partial first season filled with noise complaints from nearby neighborhoods, the venue has installed new sound walls and will use five sound monitoring stations to better manage volume levels.

If noise exceeds limits, the venue could face fines and will need to submit action plans to the city. While some residents remain skeptical, others are hopeful this season brings a better experience for both concertgoers and the surrounding community. Full Story

🚨 Social Media Request Turns Criminal

Saturday evening on Las Vegas St, CSPD responded to a report of threats made by an ex-partner and uncovered something more alarming. Investigators say the suspect had posted public messages on social media offering money and sexual favors to anyone willing to assault their former partner. The suspect was found and arrested without incident. Police have not released their name or gender, and the investigation is still active. Full Story
