Take the bite out of rising vet costs with pet insurance
Veterinarians across the country have reported pressure from corporate managers to prioritize profit. This incentivized higher patient turnover, increased testing, and upselling services. Pet insurance could help you offset some of these rising costs, with some providing up to 90% reimbursement.

What did the quesadilla say to the sour cream?

🗓️ June 13: Last Call at Metric

Another local business is closing their doors. Metric Brewing has announced it will close permanently on June 13 after seven years in business on North Circle Dr. While the details haven’t been officially confirmed, one comment on social media suggested the landlord may be ending the lease to bring in someone new.
The brewery called the closure unexpected and shared gratitude for the community’s support. Locals are invited to visit before the final day to enjoy a beer and say farewell to a neighborhood favorite.
☕ Coffee for a Dime? Yep, This Sunday For 50th Birthday Bash!
COME CELEBRATE!! Poor Richard’s—a downtown favorite for books, food, toys, and wine—is celebrating 50 years of community on Sunday, June 8, with a FREE public event from 11am-4pm. The festivities include live music, special giveaways, retro food deals, kids’ activities, and storytime with founders Richard and Patricia.
From its humble bookstore beginnings in 1975 to becoming a go-to destination for locals of all ages, the Poor Richard’s family of businesses continues to be a warm and welcoming gathering spot in Colorado Springs.

🚵♀️ A Popular Park Road Just Shut Down

North Cheyenne Cañon Park is temporarily closed to vehicles after road damage was discovered near North Cheyenne Canyon Road. The closure extends from the Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center up to Gold Camp Road, just north of the Chutes and Ladders trailhead.
While pedestrian and bicycle access is still allowed, drivers are asked to avoid the area while Public Works determines next steps for repairs. Updates will follow as the situation evolves.
