🚣 Memorial Park Transforms This Sat

“Get Outdoors Day” is back at Memorial Park tomorrow, Sat June 8, from 9am-2 pm, offering families a fun, hands-on way to connect with the outdoors. The free event features kayaking, fishing, archery, rock climbing, trail care demos, and more.
Coinciding with Colorado’s Free Fishing Weekend, the event includes free fishing poles for the first 800 kids under 18, and the lake will be stocked ahead of time to help new anglers find success. It’s a perfect way to explore outdoor activities and meet local recreation and conservation groups. Full Story

After monitoring the delivery and confirming the presence of narcotics, officers arrested the individual who picked it up. The suspect’s name has not been released, but the incident highlights the strength of collaboration between law enforcement agencies in protecting the community. Full Story

The symposium connects students, historians, and the public in celebrating the rich and layered past of the Pikes Peak region. Starts this Sat June 7, 1-4pm and June 14, 10am-1:30pm at the East Library. Full Story
