A boy is loudly praying, "God please give me a bicycle."
👉His mom asks, "why are you praying so loudly? God isn't hard of hearing." The boy replies, "yes but grandma is." 🤣

👂 The Silent Struggle: How H.E.A.R.S. Transforms Lives

Today, in honor of Dianne Reitan of Dianne’s Dahlias who brought this to our attention, we're shining a light on a local organization making a profound difference in the lives of our community members: Hearing Education & Assistance by Rocky Mountain Sertomans (H.E.A.R.S.). This remarkable non-profit helps individuals access the vital gift of hearing through financial assistance for hearing aids.
Imagine a world where the sounds of laughter, music, or even simple conversations fade away. For many in our community, this is a reality. H.E.A.R.S. steps in to bridge the gap, providing financial aid to those who couldn't otherwise afford hearing aids.
The testimonials on their website speak volumes (pun intended!). Stories of reconnection with loved ones, renewed confidence in the workplace, and the simple joy of hearing the rain or a turn signal again. These are the powerful impacts of H.E.A.R.S.' work.
“To the H.E.A.R.S. organization and SERTOMA Club I'd like to extend my deepest appreciation to your organization for my new hearing aids. I recently received them through the Colorado Hearing and Balance Clinic. I can't begin to tell you what a difference they make in my life to be able to hear again is truly a blessing. I can't begin to thank you enough. Your group is such a blessing to people like myself . Thank you again may God continue to bless all of you.” Sincerely, Donna
H.E.A.R.S. partners with local audiologists to ensure recipients receive comprehensive hearing exams and properly fitted devices. They rely on the generosity of the community to continue their mission. If you're looking for a way to make a tangible difference in someone's life, consider supporting H.E.A.R.S. and help bring the world of sound back to those in need. Visit their website learn more.
