🚧 Major Bridge/Road Work on Woodmen & Academy

Starting today, a three-month project will repair the Woodmen bridge over N Academy and repave Woodmen from East Rockrimmon to Olga Wilson Way. Work is expected to happen overnight, 8pm to 5am, with single-lane closures to reduce daytime traffic impacts.
Crews will fix concrete, replace joints, refresh markings, and use a longer-lasting asphalt to handle the 80,000 daily vehicles that pass through. Funded by the voter-approved PPRTA and 2C programs, the project should finish by early November, weather permitting. Businesses will stay open, but drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes.

🐒 Cuteness Alert! Meet These Adorable New Sisters

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Primate World has welcomed two new residents: emperor tamarin sisters Mattessich, 4, and Gianna, 3. Weighing just about a pound each, these tiny primates are known for their signature mustaches, boundless curiosity, and love of interaction. While nearly identical, guests can tell them apart by their beards—Mattessich’s is a bit unruly, Gianna’s more polished. The sisters are adjusting quickly, exploring their habitat, participating in health-focused training, and often greeting visitors with soft chirps and inquisitive looks.
🌄 30 Years, $7.5M… And Counting

Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades as both a community hub and the park’s main source of preservation funding. Beyond exhibits, programs, and family activities, the center has generated $7.5 million to maintain trails, facilities, and natural beauty, ensuring the park remains free to the public as its founder intended. Make sure you put it on your “to do” list to visit and check out their exhibits inside. Full Story

🦵 The Real Reason for “Knee Fat”
That stubborn fullness around the knees isn’t always fat — in many cases, it’s fascia that has shifted due to years of poor posture or misalignment. This connective tissue can “balloon” in certain areas, but simple, targeted movement can help restore balance. It’s gentle, doable at home, and takes only a few minutes a day.
