⚠️ I-25 Named in Top Deadly Roads

A recent safety study has identified I-25 as extremely dangerous, with seven of Colorado's top 10 deadliest road stretches being sections of this interstate. The segment from downtown Colorado Springs to Security-Widefield ranked third most dangerous with 19 fatal crashes, while the section from the Air Force Academy to downtown also made the list with 10 fatal accidents.
The five-year data shows that I-25 through all of Colorado Springs and Pueblo ranks among the state's most hazardous roadways. Full Story
🎡 Love the County Fair? Join the Advisory Board!

El Paso County is seeking volunteers for its Fair Advisory Board, to help plan and promote the annual County Fair and year-round events at the fairgrounds. Board members will help preserve Western and agricultural heritage while supporting youth organizations like 4-H. ⛷️ Shiffrin Strikes Gold in Olympic Finale
The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Day 12 has become a showcase of American athletic excellence with Team USA securing medals and advancing in multiple disciplines.
Here’s how it happened:
🏒 Dylan Larkin scored the lone regulation goal in the men’s hockey quarterfinal to keep the U.S. in it.
🚨 Quinn Hughes buried the overtime winner in men’s hockey and sent the Americans to the semifinals. The bench erupted. The dream stayed alive.
And that wasn’t the only big moment for Team USA.
⛷ In Alpine skiing, Mikaela Shiffrin closed out the Games in style. She attacked every gate in the slalom and walked away with gold in the final Alpine event. Another statement finish. Another podium.
Across the mountains, the highlights kept coming:
• 🥈 In cross-country skiing, Gus Schumacher chased Johannes Klaebo to secure team sprint silver.
• 🥉 In snowboard slopestyle, Jake Canter stomped a 79.36 run to earn bronze.
• 🎿 In freestyle skiing aerials, Kaila Kuhn and Winter Vinecki battled into the final, sitting fifth and sixth after round one.
