🤧 Allergy Season Hit Early

Colorado Springs allergy season is arriving earlier than usual this year, thanks in part to the unusually warm and dry stretch we’ve had in recent weeks. Doctors say tree pollen, (especially from species like junipers, maples and cottonwoods) has already started circulating sooner than expected, leading to classic symptoms like congestion, itchy eyes, watery drainage and sinus pressure. As the warm weather continues, grass pollen could begin showing up early too, potentially making for a rougher allergy season overall.

To help reduce symptoms, experts suggest keeping windows closed, limiting time outside during high pollen periods, avoiding air-dried laundry and wiping pets down before they come indoors.

🚍 Free Ride to OCC + Manitou

A popular Mountain Metro route connecting downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs is now completely FREE as part of a new one-year pilot program. Route 3, which travels along Colorado Ave and ends near Memorial Park in Manitou, was made fare-free in hopes of reducing parking headaches and traffic congestion in some of the area’s most visited spots.

The route will also run more frequently on weekdays, making it even easier for both residents and visitors to leave the car behind and ride instead. It also connects with other no-fare transit options, creating a smoother way to reach places like downtown Manitou, the Incline and popular local destinations without the hassle of hunting for parking. 🐤 No-Sew Easter Cuteness

If you’re looking for a sweet little Easter idea that doesn’t require a craft store haul or a sewing machine, this one is honestly adorable.

This simple DIY video shows how to turn small towels or microfiber cloths into cute little bunnies and chicks in just a few minutes using easy household supplies. They’d be perfect tucked into an Easter basket, used as spring decorations, or even given as a small handmade gift.

What makes this one especially fun is that it looks much more impressive than it actually is. With a few rubber bands, ribbon and some basic craft pieces, you can create something festive without a lot of time or fuss.

If you’ve been in the mood to make something cheerful this season, this is a really cute one to try.
