🧩 When a Mother's Love Becomes a Community's Lifeline

Picture a 12-year-old boy who has needed a fidget in his hands since he was two. Now imagine his mother, forgetting his fidget at home and frantically searching for something, anything, to help him find calm in an overwhelming moment. That everyday struggle became the spark for something extraordinary.
Tia Perez knows this reality intimately. As the mother of a son living with autism, she has navigated countless situations where sensory tools made the difference between meltdown and peace. What started as a personal mission has blossomed into Treyboy Connections Incorporated, a 501c3 nonprofit based in Fountain that is filling a critical gap in our community.

Sensory boxes
The problem is simple yet profound: not every child or adult experiencing overstimulation has access to the tools that can help. Schools, first responders, and community organizations often have nothing on hand for families navigating neurodiverse needs. Treyboy Connections changes that equation by donating carefully curated sensory kits, fidget items and weighted blankets, to those who serve our most vulnerable neighbors.

Trey
Each light blue box arrives with intention, thoughtfully packed with uniform items that provide consistency and comfort. So far, boxes have found homes in educational settings, first responder vehicles, and community spaces, many of which had never offered such resources before.
But the real impact goes beyond the items themselves. When families feel seen, heard, and supported, belonging takes root. That is what Treyboy Connections offers: a bridge between struggle and solution, built by someone who walks this path every single day.
To support this mission or learn more, visit TreyboyConnections.org or find them on Facebook and Instagram.
