The #1 Roth Conversion Mistake That Costs Retirees
Most people missed the first Roth conversion window. History is offering a rare second chance — but not a long one.
With today's tax rates extended, IRA Millionaires have a brief stretch of historically low brackets left. When it closes, the math changes: higher rates, bigger required distributions, and fewer conversion opportunities each year you wait.
Craig Wear, CFP®, has spent 15+ years helping more than 3,000 families with $1M+ in IRAs plan Roth conversions — helping them avoid a projected $10B+ in lifetime taxes. His new book, Roth Conversion Reset, is the step-by-step playbook:
Lock in today's low rates
Avoid RMD surprises at 73
Protect your spouse from survivor taxes
Keep more for your heirs
The book is free — no credit card, no shipping. The full PDF lands in your inbox in minutes.

How do you spot a leopard?
👉 You don’t, they come that way 😂

🐆 Finally! She Has a Name
If you need something good today, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has it. On July 28 we brought you the original story. Now the Amur leopard cub born in May to mom Anya finally has a name: Sila [SEE-lah], meaning "strength" in Russian. The name honors her wild roots. With fewer than 100 Amur leopards left on Earth, almost all living in Russia's Far East, every cub born carries real weight.
Sila has been making the most of it. She's been venturing outside, playing zoomies, and exploring her world with the kind of fearless energy that makes her name feel exactly right. CMZoo is offering a limited Sila adoption package if you want to be part of her story and support her species directly.

👁️ Using Eye Drops? Urgent Recall

If you keep Clear Eyes in your medicine cabinet, take a quick look right now. A nationwide recall has been issued for Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief drops, and since it's sold right here in Colorado Springs, this one's worth two minutes of your time.
The recall covers 39,060 bottles of the 15mL size. Check your bottle for these identifiers:
Lot code: 2552A
Expiration date: September 30, 2027
NDC: 67172-999-01
UPC: 6 78112 65920 3
The FDA classified this as a Class II recall, meaning the risk is real but low. The concern is a sterility issue that could cause eye irritation. If your bottle matches, stop using it and return it to the store for a full refund. If you've had redness, discharge, or blurred vision since using it, call your eye doctor. Full Story
🐻 The Tragic Reason to Lock Your Car
A 300-pound black bear in central Colorado Springs found an unlocked car, walked right in, got trapped, and didn't survive. After days in the sweltering summer heat, the bear died inside the vehicle, which was severely damaged in the process.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife wants you to know that bears have figured out how to open unlocked car doors. This summer's drought has shrunk their natural food sources, pushing them closer to our neighborhoods, and our cars, trash, and anything with a scent are drawing them in.
The habit that prevents this is simple: lock your car every time and keep your windows closed too. Remove food, wrappers, and anything with a smell. These small steps are the difference between a close call and a tragedy, for you and the bear.
