๐ค How a small group of volunteers preserves Mueller's magic year-round
As you plan your autumn hike to witness the spectacular fall colors at Mueller State Park that we featured yesterday, consider the dedicated people making those experiences possible. The Friends of Mueller State Park, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteers, works tirelessly to enhance visitor experiences while preserving this natural treasure.
Since its founding, this passionate group has funded transportation for over 2,800 schoolchildren to visit the park, installed water bottle filling stations, added interpretive trail signs, and provided essential educational equipment like binoculars and GPS units for field trips.
What makes their work remarkable? Every dollar they raise directly supports park projects - not staff salaries. Their mission extends beyond maintaining trails to connecting people with nature, particularly introducing children to Colorado's outdoor wonders.
If yesterday's fall foliage recommendation inspired you, consider supporting the Friends through their upcoming fundraisers, join the group or with a donation. Your contribution helps ensure Mueller State Park remains accessible and educational for generations to come.
