βοΈ City Pre-Treats Ahead of Storm

As a winter storm approaches, City of Colorado Springs crews are preparing early to help keep drivers safe. Snowplows are being stocked and readied, and for this storm, the City is pre-treating certain roads with liquid de-icer, a step reserved for higher-impact weather events.
With high winds and dropping temperatures expected, officials say melting snow could refreeze quickly, creating slick conditions. Plow crews will focus first on major routes like Powers, Woodmen, and Academy, while residential streets will be addressed if snowfall exceeds six inches. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and give crews space as they work through the storm.
π Broncos Playoff Buzz = Empty Shelves

Broncos pride is on full display across Southern Colorado as fans celebrate the teamβs AFC West title and top playoff seed. From jerseys to hats, orange and blue gear is disappearing fast as supporters rally behind a hopeful postseason run.

π CSPD Warns of Phone Scam

Colorado Springs Police Department is alerting the community to a phone scam where callers spoof police phone numbers and claim to be the Chief of Police. Victims are told they have an active warrant and are pressured to pay immediately to avoid arrest. It goes without saying, and Iβll say it anywayβ¦these calls are completely fraudulent.
CSPD reminds residents that officers will never demand payment over the phone or threaten arrest in this way. If you receive a suspicious call like this, the safest step is to hang up right away and DO NOT share any personal or financial details.

π Tender Red Wine Braised Beef Chuck Roast

Recipe by Season Two Taste
From local chef, Jason Miller. This Dutch oven pot roast transforms an affordable cut of beef into a fork tender, hearty meal with incredible depth of flavor. The slow cooking method in a covered pot creates a rich sauce that's perfect for the root vegetables cooked with it.
