👉Because they don't have time for a casual-tea! 🤣

😱 What Really Happens After The Sirens Go Silent?
When the radio crackles after a hard call, someone asks, “What’s your status?” and the answer comes back, “Code 4. All okay.” Status Code 4 Inc. exists so Colorado’s first responders and their families have a real chance for “all okay” to mean more than just a routine reply.
After years in EMS, co-founder Dr. Daniel Crampton watched strong, capable colleagues quietly unravel under the weight of what they’d seen: fatal crashes, house fires, desperate 911 calls. The job went on, but the memories did not simply fade. He and his wife, Kristen, decided that “just tough it out” could no longer be the only option, and SC4I grew from that conviction.
1 in 3 First Responders experiences Posttraumatic Stress, and that untreated trauma can grow into a serious, life-altering injury. Behind every siren in Colorado Springs is a human being carrying those calls home in their body and mind.
Since 2017, SC4I has provided more than 10,000 free counseling sessions to nearly 1,000 First Responders and family members, offered mental wellness classes to thousands, and built peer support teams across our region. They walk with responders through nightmares, grief, and burnout, offering trauma-healing therapy, resiliency training, and practical tools for families who often feel they must stay strong no matter what.
Behind the numbers are stories: a firefighter finally sleeping through the night, a dispatcher who no longer dreads the phone ringing, a marriage given a second chance. SC4I is where “you’re not broken, you’re injured, and injuries can heal” becomes more than a comforting phrase.
Community support keeps this work going. Along with donations, SC4I welcomes volunteers to help share their message and support their growing programs, so more of our quiet heroes can reach out before they reach a breaking point.
If your heart aches for our neighbors behind the badge, visit sc4i.org to learn more, give, or explore ways to stand beside them by volunteering.
*SC4I is the 2026 charity chosen by Colorado Springs Ladies Events.
