π Last Night Sleeping Hereβ¦
Homeward Pikes Peak begins where many of us instinctively look away: the tent you pass on the way to work, the mom and kids living out of a car, the veteran standing on a cold corner. This Colorado Springs nonprofit steps into those stories and quietly asks, βWhat would it take to come home again?β
Since 2002, Homeward Pikes Peak has helped neighbors move from survival mode to stability by pairing safe housing with treatment, counseling, and steady, patient support. Their programs range from Housing First for veterans, to sober homes, to a unique residential treatment center where moms can heal from addiction without being separated from their children. Instead of choosing between recovery and family, they are surrounded by both.

In a typical year, more than 800 people in our city touch their services in some way: a case manager meeting someone on the street, a family getting keys to their first stable apartment in years, a dad working through counseling so his kids can count on him again. These are the stories quietly reshaping what βhomeβ means for those who are struggling.
If you have ever wondered what real solutions to homelessness and addiction look like here, Homeward Pikes Peak is one of those answers. Learn more, support their work, or explore ways to get involved at homewardpp.org.
πββοΈ HELP STILL NEEDEDβ¦donβt forget to revisit the Community Corner issue as our local Veteranβs need help raising the funding for the new HVAC system that is failing. If you can help, click here to be taken to their donations page.
