💊 Rx Recall Alert—Check Yours

If you or someone you love takes blood pressure medication, you may want to check your bottles. Nearly 590K bottles of prazosin hydrochloride capsules have been recalled due to the possible presence of a chemical impurity that could pose long-term health risks. The concern centers on nitrosamines—substances that can sometimes form during drug manufacturing or storage and may carry a cancer risk when consumed above a certain limit.
The recall includes certain 1mg, 2mg, and 5mg capsules from Teva Pharmaceuticals and Amerisource Health Services. If you're unsure whether your prescription is affected, contact your pharmacist or doctor—but don’t stop taking your medication without professional guidance. Full Story

🥫 After SNAP: Where to Turn

Due to the Government shutdown, SNAP benefit funding officially on hold, this past Saturday, but Colorado Springs didn’t miss a beat in responding. Mayor Yemi released a statement saying a network of food banks, nonprofits, utility support programs, and veteran services are standing ready to help anyone feeling the impact. Residents can reach out through 2-1-1, check for local food distribution sites, or get help with utility bills and emergency needs.
At the same time, those in a position to give are encouraged to support local food banks and aid organizations. It’s a moment that calls for both compassion and connection—and our city is answering.
⚾ Last Inning for Local Team

Photo by: Bobby Stevens- Rocky Mountain Vibes
If you’ve ever spent a summer night at the ballpark cheering on the Rocky Mountain Vibes, here’s some sad news: they announced they will not return in 2026. The decision follows the departure of other Colorado teams in the Pioneer League, leaving the Vibes without nearby competitors and facing unsustainable travel costs. Rather than move, the team is ceasing operations entirely.
This news marks the end of a long baseball legacy in our city — from the original Sky Sox in 1988 to the Vibes' family-friendly games and marshmallow mascot. It’s a bittersweet goodbye for fans who’ve grown up with the smell of popcorn, the crack of the bat, and those fireworks lighting up summer nights. Full Story
