Sound familiar?
Over 4 million people have had the same lightbulb moment.
Morning Brew is a free daily newsletter that breaks down what's happening in business, finance, and tech — clearly, quickly, and with enough personality to make it the best email in your inbox.
No yelling. No filler. Just the news, finally making sense.

I visited a new church Sunday, and I asked some people, ‘Is this seat saved?’
👉 They answered, ‘No, but we’ve been praying for it.’ 🤣

🤫 They Took Her Phone. Then This Happened 🌪
🦋 One week later, she was not the same girl who walked in
Picture a nervous high schooler from Monument standing in a college dorm lobby. A staff member hands her a clipboard. She has to sign a form, shake hands, and promise not to touch her phone for a full week. Her stomach drops.
Her name is Francesca Berthelotte, and she almost did not show up.
That little handshake at the door is where the magic of the Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Foundation Conference begins. For over 30 years, this all volunteer Colorado Springs foundation has invited 100 rising juniors and seniors to a free, one week experience on a college campus. Truly free. Families only cover the drive to drop them off.
Once inside, students are grouped with total strangers from across the state. Ranch kids next to city kids. Homeschoolers next to JROTC cadets. Together they tackle a real national issue and build a real solution. Francesca's group debated censorship for two days before landing on theirs.

She came home softer around the edges and stronger in her spine, a kinder and braver version of herself. Her teammates felt it when she stepped up as field hockey captain. Her community felt it in the way she started leading. And we all felt it when she was chosen to represent Colorado at the National Youth Civics Summit in Washington, D.C.
It costs $750 to send one student, and every dollar comes from donors like you. That is exactly where the 2026 Gala comes in.
When: Sat, Oct 3, 4:30-8:30 pm
Where: National Museum of WWII Aviation, COS
Tickets: Only $75 (includes food, drinks, tours, flight simulators)
The showstopper: A raffle to sit inside a restored WWII B-25 bomber for a dusk engine start
Grab your tickets, sponsor a student and make a difference, or give any amount at rmylf.org. No gift is too small.
Did Francesca's story touch your heart? Imagine how many more students are waiting for YOU to open the door.
