📢 Care and Share's Urgent Plea: 500+ Families Need Help Daily
👨👩👧👦 Together We Can Nourish Our Neighbors in Need
In Southern Colorado, hunger is reality. Seniors are choosing between medicine and meals. Children are going to bed with empty stomachs. Families who never thought they'd need help are waiting in food lines for the first time.
Care and Share Food Bank has been fighting this battle for nearly 50 years, but the enemy is growing stronger. Despite distributing 23 million pounds of food annually, it's not enough. CEO Nate Springer's recent plea was clear: 500 families seek help daily, and that number keeps rising with the government shutdown going on so long.
The pain is real. Behind closed doors, a grandmother skips dinner so her grandchild can eat. A father works two jobs but still can't fill the fridge. A child pretends not to be hungry to ease their parents' worry.
Care and Share is stretched thin, and they're calling for reinforcements. That's where you come in. Every dollar you give provides four meals – four chances to replace hunger with hope. Volunteer, donate, spread the word.
Your action today feeds a family tomorrow. Will you be the hand that fills an empty plate? Visit careandshare.org now and help write a story of hope for our neighbors experiencing hunger.
